What customers say?

“ I don't usually go to picanterías (traditional Mexican restaurants), but today we decided to go to this one, and it was delicious! I think they're not advertising it much despite it being a good traditional place. The good thing is that the flavor is excellent and the portions are decent. It's located 15 minutes from the main square, but it's in the countryside, so it has a nice view. We ordered fried cheese (delicious), ocopa (a potato and onion sauce), ribs, zarza de patita (a beef stew), shrimp chowder, and cuy chactado (fried guinea pig), and everything was very good. ”

“ In a beautiful and peaceful part of the city, where the unhurried pace of tradition still lingers, you'll find La Lucila, a traditional eatery that proudly preserves the essence of Arequipa cuisine with its flavorful charm. From the moment you arrive, the setting invites you to enjoy a leisurely meal. The atmosphere is serene and welcoming, with minimal noise and pretension, and a lovely view of the neighboring farm and its horses, making it perfect for a relaxed meal. Yes, the service can be a little slow ⏳—but you'll soon understand why. We tried the cuy chactado (fried guinea pig), carrot fritters, and ocopa (a spicy potato and onion sauce), which were absolutely delicious . ”

“ I loved their food, which is the most important thing. It takes a little while, but it's worth it 100/100 ”

“ Quiet place with good food. It takes a while because everything is made fresh, but it's totally worth it. ”

- Mijael P.G. -

“ Lino local food, we went on a Thursday, there weren't many people, not all the dishes were available but the ones I ordered were finger-licking good ”

- Ever Soto -

“ I must say I wasn't expecting much. But after trying several places in Arequipa, this one has that homemade, traditional flavor. I ordered locro de pecho de res (beef brisket stew) and it was very tasty, as was the cuy chactado (fried guinea pig), which was fresh and delicious. Their chicha de guiñapo (fermented corn drink) was also very good. I recommend it. ”

- Rosario Pardavé -

“ The food is delicious and the place is beautiful. I highly recommend eating upstairs on the terrace! ”

- Jota Garcia -

“ The portions are large, very tasty, and freshly made. The service is a bit slow, but it's worth the wait. It's not very crowded either. Prices are reasonable. The only thing is that they should have more servers to better serve the customers. ”
